Many brand’s new makeup launches can feel exhausting these days since practically every brand is releasing its own makeup lines, but there are always exceptions. Especially when it's related to the legendary Italian fashion house Valentino.

After many years of swooning over the beautiful looks that have waltzed down the Valentino runways, the Italian fashion house has finally released its first-ever makeup line. The posh couture brand has, at last, dived into the beauty world with a fully-loaded collection, including lipsticks, eye shadows, highlighters, foundations, mascara, etc.

Valentino is the most recent luxury fashion label that has entered the cosmetics market, soon after the debut of Gucci Beauty in 2019 and Hermès in 2020.

Mostly when a brand debuts, it plays safe, with only several products being released at first. But the Valentino director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, did not come to play. Valentino went full force ahead, launching products in nearly every category. And to ensure an all-inclusive range of shades, the brand did its research very thoroughly, surveying around 5,000 females across every continent.

Before we get to the products, let's review the packaging:

At a glance, the packaging is exactly what you'd expect: luxurious, stylish, and lots of red. Valentino delivers that level of luxury excellence that you would expect from such a fashion house.

Each of the cosmetics comes in shiny boxes in the signature gold and Valentino Rosso. Clear instructions for multi-purpose products and minor touches like the quotes inside the boxes show the concentration to detail that justifies the price point.

Now let's start with the much-awaited Valentino products!

1. Very Valentino Perfecting Foundation:

Every beauty brand should know that depth is important, and Valentino understood the assignment completely when creating its Very Valentino foundation.

After examining the skin tones of around 5000 women in about eight countries, the result gave the brand an extensive 40 shade offering that provides a semi-matte coverage that lasts throughout the day, and it's so lightweight that it feels like it's hardly there.

**VERY VALENTINO 24 HOUR WEAR LIQUID FOUNDATION**

The Very Valentino foundation is made to be applied with your fingers and then smoothed out with a brush for a perfect finish. It feels very light after application and leaves the skin natural-looking.

2. Eye2Cheek Dual-Use Blush & Eyeshadow:

8. Brow Trio:

Your eyebrows can get in on the action, too, with the Brow Trio. Although the product's name is boring in comparison to the whole Valentino Beauty lineup, the three-in-one eyebrow stick, however, is something else entirely. One slim tube contains a thin brow, a pencil, a pen, and a spoolie brush, all in one of three ever-lasting shades.

Overall, I think the brand did well with its first makeup launch. This may not be for everyone due to the prices. However, you can always buy one piece at a time!
